Finding images on the Web
The quickest way to find an image on the Web is to type a
name or keyword into Google
Image Search, however, these images may be protected
by copyright. If you would like to use any of these
images, we advise contacting the site owner to obtain permission.
There are many other resources available for finding images,
photographs and graphics for use in teaching and learning
materials. Following are a list of just a few:

Free (public domain) image collections
A comprehensive list of Public Domain images for a wide range of subject areas can be found at: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_images. Although theses images do not require the copyright owner's approval, be sure to check the site's terms and conditions to ensure that your use and purpose are covered and don't forget to include any appropriate acknowledgements
or copyright statements as required by the source.
You could
also try searching the Web using the following keywords: free, copyright-free, royalty-free [together with
the terms] images, graphics, photosclipart.

If you are using these databases off-campus, you will be prompted
