Opera browser problem

The Opera browser is not supported. Opera cannot display a full record.


Emailing reserve records from summary list and My List screens

Emailing reserve items from the summary list screen or from My List causes major system problems. Please avoid doing this.

There is no solution to this problem at present.

Workaround: Only email single items from the full record screen.


Cannot add reserve items to My List

You cannot add reserve items to My List.

There is no solution to this problem at present.


Blank screen when clicking Go button more than once

If you click the Go button more than once, your browser may "freeze" and display a blank screen.

Workaround: Only click the Go button once and wait for the search to complete.If you see a blank screen you may need to close down and restart your browser.


Keyword search not matching anything - odd error message

If you do a keyword search that finds no results, the words "Publication Date" are appended to the message:

"Sorry, could not find anything matching
[your search term] Publication Date"

Solution: This problem will be fixed in a future upgrade.

Workaround: Ignore "Publication Date" in the error message.


Online Reserve: Getting back to the catalogue from an article

When you click a link in the catalogue to go to an online reserve article in PDF format, a redirect web page is sometimes inserted. You may see this briefly before the article loads.

This may cause problems when you try to go back. Clicking the Back button will take you to the redirection page which then sends you back the PDF article.

What you need to do...

IE Back buttonHold down the small black arrow at the right of the Back button to see your history.

Skip to the second item from the top of the list (iPac) to get back to the catalogue screen.


Searching for Reserve-Instructor name

If you enter the instructor name with a comma [for example: smith, j ] the results are misfiled on the Search Results screen. The correct result will be on the previous screen.

There is no problem if you just insert a space after the surname [ for example: smith j ]

Workaround: Enter instructor name like this: smith j
