How to borrow

  • Take the books, DVDs or other loan items to a self service machine. Follow the directions on the machine.
  • If you are borrowing audio or video cassettes, take them to the service desk.
  • You will need a current Swinburne identity card to borrow. This acts as your library card. If you are from another institution, you will need a current identity card from your home institution together with a reciprocal borrower card.
  • If you have difficulty using the self service machine, go to the service desk for assistance.

Renewals

You can renew your loans by:

  • using the library catalogue.
  • using the self-service unit in any campus library
  • calling 9214 8330
  • coming in to any campus library service desk

Holds and inter-campus requests

You can use the library catalogue to place a hold on:

  • an item that is out on loan
  • an item that is located at another campus
