Supervision

The duration of the placement is generally 12 months. Within this time, a Swinburne Supervisor from the Faculty of Information & Communication Technologies will visit the student at work on three occasions in order to discuss the placement with both the student and the student’s immediate supervisor. These meetings provide the opportunity for all parties to discuss any areas that may be a concern. They are an important part of the commitment to the program that must be maintained for IBL to succeed.

The final visit will include a 20-minute Powerpoint presentation by the student, as part of their assessment requirements.

Rights and Obligations

The following guidelines have been developed to facilitate an understanding of the responsibilities of each party. While this "Code of Practice" in no way implies a legal commitment on an individual or organisation, prospective students and industry partners will be expected to commit to their respective responsibilities prior to joining the program.
