We apply the continuous variable approach to study a deterministic creation of entanglement and cluster states between atomic ensemble located inside a high-Q ring cavity. The attention is focused on the creation of one and multimode continuous variable entangled and cluster states from the vacuum by applying laser pulses of suitably adjusted amplitudes and phases. We show that the pulses together with the cavity dissipation prepare the collective modes of the atomic ensembles in a desired entangled state.
