Microscopy and Imaging
The Applied Optics group is also interested in developing novel methods for optical microscopy, imaging and non-contact
inspection and their use in medical and industrial applications. This area presently includes an ARC Linkage project with
Pilkington Australia and the Robotics and Non-contact Inspection Group at IRIS.

Past work has involved the design of a high throughput spectrometer and its application in multiple labelling fluorescence experiments,
as well as the design and application of a novel fused fibre bundle contact imaging probe with confocal illumination.
