Bill is a lecturer in the Digital Media Design (previously called Multimedia Design) undergraduate and postgraduate programs with a particular focus on the technology components of the course.
Bill has many years experience as a freelance web designer/developer and, in addition to his teaching commitments, has undertaken a number of web projects such as the restructuring of the Faculty of Design website, and the creation of the Graduate Portfolio System which allows increased visibility of work by design students and improves communication with Faculty of Design alumni.
Bill has developed a series of online tutorials for students to learn Flash and other web technologies. In 2006, Bill’s tutorials formed a component of the Online Learning package that won the Swinburne Multimedia Design team a Carrick Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning.
