Accessible parking spaces
To park in an accessible parking space, you need to display your disability parking permit. You can get this permit from your local council or VicRoads.
A parking sticker identifies you as a Swinburne student. It must be displayed on the front windscreen of your vehicle at all times.
Parking stickers are free. Download and complete the Parking sticker application form and submit to Facilities and Services, 1 Alfred St, Hawthorn campus or studentHQ.
Motorcycle riders must only park in allocated motorcycle parking areas within Swinburne campuses. No charges apply.
VicRoads allows motorcycles to park on public footpaths as long as there is enough space for disabled access and pedestrians.
Daily visitor parking permits are available from Facilities and Services. Visitor parking is only available to external parties (e.g. guest speakers who donate their time, Chancellery visitors, some contractors). Contact us on 9214 8999 to arrange a visitor permit.
You will incur an infringement if your vehicle is parked contrary to Swinburne’s car park guidelines, in accordance with VicRoads regulations.
You have 28 days to appeal the infringement from the date of issue. If you wish to appeal the infringement, attach a letter explaining your reasons for appeal. Send it to the address on the infringement notice.
You will receive notice in writing whether the appeal has been successful or not. If successful, your fine will be waived. If not, you must pay the fine. Unpaid infringements are processed through the Infringements Court.
