In Summary

The recent Australian Government budget will not impact on tuition fees for international students studying at Swinburne University of Technology.

''We set our fees nearly 12 months before they are to take effect and our 2015 international course fees are now available,'' said Jeffrey Smart, Swinburne Vice President (International and Future Students).

''The federal government budget will give universities more freedom to determine fees for Australian students from 2016,'' he said.

''We will work through the detail of the proposed changes, but we do not anticipate that this change will have any impact on the fees we set for international students.

''Swinburne is proud to educate 6,000 international students each year, from 95 countries.  Our students are studying at all levels – English language, vocational education, higher education and research – and across all of our study areas.

''We aim to be Australia's leading university of science, technology and innovation and we are delighted to be able to welcome so many bright young people from around the world to our campus in Melbourne.''
