In Summary

Leading figures in the aviation industry will be discussing a range of issues including the Malaysia Airlines MH370 case, balancing air traffic demand and capacity in Australia, the changing trends in air travel and error detection on the flight deck, at the Swinburne Aviation Industry Conference.

The three-day conference - which will be opened by the Minister for the Aviation Industry, Gordon Rich-Phillips - will bring together aviation industry leaders, professionals, academics and researchers, with presentations from national and international industry figures.

Speakers include senior members of Australian Maritime Safety Authority, Civil Aviation Safety Authority, Airbiz, Cathay Pacific Airways, Darwin Airport, Intrepid Travel, Jetstar Airways, Thales Australia and Virgin Australia.

Days 1 and 2 of the conference will focus on air transportation themes, while Day 3 will focus on human factors.
