Our free employer information sessions are the best way to provide students with an insider perspective of your organisation, employment opportunities and network with talent.

  • We take care of the setup including the tech, promotions and student bookings
  • Our facilitator guides the session and showcases your chosen representatives
  • Sessions are recorded so you can reach students who can’t participate
  • Your jobs, live session and recording are all linked together to give the best return on your time investment.

Information on how to book a session will be provided soon.

Your session is 30 minutes, scheduled for Melbourne, Australia time AEST/AEDT, UTC+10) and exclusive to your organisation. We allocate 10 minutes for introductions, an overview of your organisation and to pitch your current opportunities, then 20 minutes of Q&A time from students or guided questions from our facilitator.

There are no PowerPoints or presentations, just an authentic conversation with your audience to showcase your organisation and opportunities.

It's useful to know who your panellists will be, but not necessary to book a session. Choose representatives that provide the best story for your organisation.

We can facilitate up to three representatives anywhere in the world, and suggest: A recent graduate or Alumni from Swinburne; A Human Resources or Talent Acquisition representative; A leader from your business.

Panellists should:

  • watch our preparation video above and read our  Questions to Prepare For [PDF 80KB]
  • check they have a working microphone, video, headphones and Zoom on their device with a strong internet connection
  • acknowledge and consent to being recorded when joining the session.

Cast a spotlight on your organisation and graduate success stories

Organisations actively recruiting for graduates will be able to provide an article profiling a recent Swinburne graduate's success story.

We’ll link this to your current job advertisements on SwinEmploy and feature your organisation in our newsletter and communication channels.

Whether it’s an interview article of a graduate telling their success story, or an engaging short video, we can work with you to cast a spotlight on your organisation and encourage future students to apply for your opportunities.

Here are a range of questions you might want to think about asking for your organisation’s graduate success story.

  1. What did you study? What was your career journey through university or TAFE/What activities did you do to work on your employability?
  2. What is your current role? / Why did you choose this organisation?
  3. What were your first initial thoughts about working at your organisation / What's been the highlight so far / What do you like most about your role?
  4. Tell us about your planned career journey / Where would you like to be in five years' time?
  5. What is your advice to Swinburne students thinking about applying for your organisation?
  6. How did you do your research on your organisation before applying?
  7. How does your everyday work have an impact on the organisation?
  8. What could a student do while studying to increase their chances of successfully securing a role?
  9. What would you recommend to students interested in your industry?
