2011 Library Survey
Thank you to everyone who responded to the 2011 Library Survey in May. We received a fantastic 2,693 responses!
On the whole, you responded very positively, indicating high levels of satisfaction with library services (78.1% overall satisfaction score). We really appreciate all of your comments and we’re working hard to improve our services based on your responses. Remember, you are always welcome to give us feedback on our services at anytime.

Computer availability |
The Hawthorn Project Hub was incorporated into the library in early 2011 and opened to all students, making available more computers and group study rooms. Library renovations are planned for late 2011 and will open up another entire level, with more computers, laptop facilities and space. New laptops are being purchased soon for Wantirna, Croydon and Lilydale and new Mac computers are on the way for Prahran Library. |
| Quiet study areas | Levels 5, 6 & 7 of the Hawthorn Library building are due to be refurbished in late 2011. In 2012, Level 5 will be available from Semester 1 as an extra silent study floor. Wantirna and Croydon have improved signage to highlight the silent study areas. Prahran is assigning an extra room to silent study and Lilydale is getting a new multipurpose study room. |
| Library website navigation | The library website has been redeveloped this year to be more user friendly and improvements will continue throughout 2011. |
| Library Search | We're working hard to make the Library search engine better. A new single search option is now available, called ‘Books, articles and more’ and we are testing and improving it continuously. |
| Printing facilities | Rovers are available at Hawthorn, Prahran and Lilydale, to help you set up wireless printing and troubleshoot printing problems. Check out their new quick guide to double-sided printing. There is now a new multifunction printer providing A3 colour printing and copying at Wantirna and Croydon. |
