Is my gift tax deductible? 

All donations to the Swinburne University of A$2 or more are tax deductible for Australian taxpayers. 

Will I receive a receipt for my gift? 

Yes, you will receive a receipt.  If you have made a gift online, you will receive your receipt via email once your payment has been approved.  

If you have chosen to make a recurring monthly gift, you will receive a receipt at the end of the financial year. If we do not have an up-to-date email address, then your annual receipt will be sent by post. 

I live outside Australia. Am I still able to donate?

Yes. Donations can be made using a credit card through the University’s website. If you have any questions, please call us on +61 3 9214 4409 or send an email on giving@swinburne.edu.au.

I have lost the receipt I received for my donation – how can I get a copy? 

Please call +61 3 9214 4409 or email giving@swinburne.edu.au and we will either email or post you a duplicate receipt.

I would like to set up a scholarship or an award – who can I talk to?

Can I pay by cheque and where should I send it? 

Please note due to Covid-19 restrictions Swinburne is Currently not accepting cheques at this time. Please contact us at giving@swinburne.edu.au or call +61 3 9214 4409 to discuss making a gift.  

Send the completed donation/giving form and cheque (made payable to Swinburne University of Technology) to:

A receipt will be issued, usually within a week of processing the cheque.
