What do we do?

A Chaplain provides spiritual support and pastoral care to students and staff on the Swinburne campus, regardless of their religious affiliation or lack of it. They:

  • Provide a focus for the spiritual life of the campus community
  • Help nurture the faith of those who are believers
  • Provide information about and support for student-run religious groups on campus
  • Help those who want to know more about the Christian faith and related issues
  • Lead Bible study groups
  • Arrange Seminars and Discussion Groups on a range of issues for Staff
  • Provide opportunities for worship and prayer
  • Provide information about local churches
  • Be available to those seeking meaning and purpose in their lives
  • Provide support to students and staff in times of personal crisis
