Public transport

Choosing public transport for all or part of your journey helps the environment. It frees up your time to study, catch up on reading or talk to friends.

All our campuses are within convenient walking distance of train, tram and bus services. You can read about Melbourne's transport system on the Public Transport Victoria website.

Discounts on public transport

Local students

Local students enrolled full-time carrying a PTV Tertiary Student ID are eligible for discounted fares on public transport. Concession tickets cost around half the full fare. Current students can access pre-filled application forms by signing into My Details and visiting 'documents'.

International students and citizens and permanent residents of New Zealand

International students and New Zealand citizens/permanent residents enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or vocational education course are eligible for the International Undergraduate Student Education Pass (iUSEpass). The pass allows you to purchase a half-price annual public transport pass.

To purchase the iUSEpass from PTV, eligible international students must get a unique iUSE pass code from the international counter at studentHQ in the SPW building.

If you need to request a refund, submit a completed iUSE Myki Pass Refund application form and your iUSE card at the international counter.
