Overview

Students will use a strengths-based approach to explore complex presentations of a range of selected respiratory, cardiovascular, endocrine, gastrointestinal, reproductive, renal neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. The health-care needs of the adult person will be addressed concurrently, to align theory with practice. Students will be introduced to a number of fundamental concepts, processes and skills required for nursing the complex patient. Students will develop skills in assessment and the interventions required to support independence.
