Indigenous Travel Bursary

This scholarship provides a one-off $500 payment to an Indigenous student undertaking a VET or undergraduate course for use towards one of the following:

  • a professional development opportunity
  • conference costs
  • travel to a Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placement

Courses eligible

Any Vocational Education and Training (VET) or undergradute course offered by Swinburne University of Technology.


Eligibility / selection criteria

To be eligible for the Indigenous Travel Bursary, applicants must:

  1. Meet the following criteria:
    • Australian citizen
    • be an Indigenous Australian or Torres Strait Islander
  2. Meet the following criteria:
    • be a Swinburne student in 2022
    • enrolled in an eligible course (see courses eligible in section above)
  3. Submit a personal statement (250 words) outlining:
    • how you plan to use the funds
    • how this scholarship will benefit you

Value

This scholarship is valued at $500 (one-off payment).
