Research Training Program Fee-Offset (International) - {formerly International Postgraduate Research

In 2017 a RTP Fees Offset Scholarship (International) will be awarded to the top three ranked students who have been selected to receive an externally funded stipend scholarship secured by their research supervisor, research group, or Faculty. To be eligible, nominated candidates must have submitted their application for candidature by 30 June 2017 and must be commencing their PhD studies in 2017.

Research Training Program Fee Offsets are available to international students with a First Class Honours result or equivalent, to support their study towards a Higher Degree by Research (doctoral). Awards are available in all discipline areas.

Eligibility / selection criteria

  • Meet Swinburne’s academic entry requirements for a research doctorate program
  • Not be a citizen of Australia or New Zealand
  • Meet international student visa requirements
  • Be enrolled on a full-time basis in an area of research strength for Swinburne
  • Not eligible for the Research Training Program Fee-Offset
  • Not have held an AusAID scholarship within the last two years
  • Not be receiving any other tuition fee scholarship funded or partly funded by the Commonwealth Government
  • Not have previously held a Research Training Program Fee-Offset (International) - {formerly International Postgraduate Research Scholarship}

Value

  • Tuition fees for up to four years
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (for the applicant, spouse and dependents)
