We understand the need to serve the community and to support people through difficult legal decisions. That’s why we offer legal services courses at Swinburne.
Legal services courses offer you the knowledge and skills needed to work in legal environments such as law firms, government departments and in courts. You’ll gain a foundational understanding of legal principles and practices, and learn about legislation, regulations and codes of practice relevant to a range of legal disciplines. You’ll also develop effective communication skills and benefit from professional work placement opportunities designed to give you hands-on experience and prepare you to start your career sooner.
By the time you graduate, you’ll have the knowledge to work as legal support for lawyers practicing family law, criminal law, property law and corporation law. You’ll also have the skills to apply your learning in roles with government and in courts.
