Aims and objectives

At the conclusion of this unit students will be able to:
  • Appreciate Italian history, society and culture
  • Examine own cultural beliefs and attitudes
  • Examine and analyse the fundamental similarities and differences of different cultures and societies
  • Locate relevant information relating to Modern Italy
  • Interpret how historical and cultural events and characters have shaped modern Italy
  • Discuss the development of Italy into a modern industrial nation
