Aims and objectives

This unit prepares students by immersing them in ‘The Data Experience’, a bootcamp that simulates a data consultancy that provides students with the opportunity to engage with a client to conduct analysis and requirements of business problems. This unit will take students through the process of identifying viable business opportunities, engaging with clients on a professional level.

Unit Learning Outcomes (ULO)

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

1. Engage with client to understand the problem through contextual investigation and decision-making processes to achieve project agreement.
2. Conduct design thinking processes to produce storyboards to understand business problems
3. Research and explore the potential solution with client through presentation and walk-throughs
4. Validate the outcome through critical reviews and appropriate documentation
5. Prepare final agreed proposal for development with the client
