Aims and objectives

This unit aims to introduce students to a range of research methods and information sources, to provide students with skills that are commonly used for research methodologies.
 

Unit Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit students will be able to: 
  • Critically analyse research methodologies identified in existing literature and their suitability in different contexts
  • Propose and distinguish appropriate research designs and methodologies to apply to a specific research activity
  • Apply appropriate techniques to the formulation and analysis of a research problem 
  • Apply an understanding of the feasibility and practicality of different research methodologies in various contexts
