Aims and objectives

The aims of the research program are to enhance students' awareness of the importance of a scientific research base for the practice of clinical psychology, to consolidate students' practical understanding of research methodology related to clinical psychology and to teach appropriate research design and clinical analysis skills.

Students receive training in research methods through the four research project subjects  Research Project A1,  Research Project A2, HAYC562 Research Project B1 and Research Project B2, through one-on-one supervision of their research project and through additional research methods classes. Over and above the didactic elements contained in the research subjects, students complete 12 hours of research methods classes.

The aim of this unit is to facilitate the student's knowledge and understanding regarding data collection and analysis.
