Aims and objectives

This unit aims to inspire and enable research students to apply engagement skills to their research activities. By doing so, it is expected that the students will be able to develop sound knowledge and practical skills for professional engagement. Ultimately, the students are expected to effectively engage with academics and researchers and disseminate research outcomes and provide professional services that directly benefit to research communities and the public.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Engage effectively with academic staff and research students within and across disciplines beyond the classrooms and campus walls.
2. Communicate effectively and proficiently using a variety of forms to a range of audiences including academics, professionals and the public
3. Provide professional services to academic communities, industries, government and public organisation.
