Aims and objectives

This unit aims to provide students with relevant and meaningful industry experience through completion of a project or deliverable for an industry-linked or industry relevant project. Students will work on authentic business issues or challenges and work individually and as part of a team to provide a solution to an industry relevant problem. The unit will contribute to the development of the student’s employability skills and exposure to industry and industry connections.

After successfully completing this unit, students will be able to:

1. Apply problem solving, design and decision-making methodologies to identify and provide innovative solutions
to social enterprise problems with intellectual independence that meets the requirements of the industry relevant problem
2. Work collaboratively as a member or leader of a team and/or with stakeholders and implement methods for optimising collaboration
3. Reflect on industry project experience using appropriate theories of reflexivity and identify areas for development
