On-campus unit delivery combines face-to-face and digital learning. For Online unit delivery, learning is conducted exclusively online.
Aims and objectives
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Critically discuss the problem behaviour framework, and demonstrate advanced knowledge of how distal, proximal, individual and contextual factors explain problem behaviour.
2. Appraise the empirical research into different types of problem behaviours.
3. Interpret the links between the problem behaviour framework and offender risk assessment.
4. Apply the problem behaviour framework to individual cases to guide the development of appropriate treatment and management plans for violence, intimate partner violence, threats and firesetting.
