Aims and objectives

The aim of the Lead Strategic Transformation unit is to prepare students to become professional organisational leaders who will accept leadership responsibility and make significant contributions toward the sustained success of their organisations.

The unit is both philosophical and practical in nature. Students are invited to reflect deeply on their own leadership formation and engage critically with the academic leadership literature to inform their ongoing leadership development and leadership practice. Students will also learn critical frames for navigating complex organisational environments, analysing strategic organisational opportunities, and leading strategic organisational transformation with effective change management skills. Students are required to plan and execute a strategic change project within their organisation as a part of this unit of study.
