Aims and objectives
This unit develops basic competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Italian through a variety of didactic activities. It will cover a specific range of topics regarding the structure of Italian language (grammar and syntax) and will introduce students to relevant aspects of Italian culture and society.
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Recognise the different components of the structure of Italian.
2. Comprehend, communicate and apply grammatical rules in (basic) written and oral contexts.
3. Apply skills in listening, reading, writing and speaking.
4. Manage basic conversations in Italian.
5. Develop cultural sensitivity and respect for a different view of the world.
