Prerequisites
We strongly advise that you have completed prior language study to the completion of the study of Italian language to an Introductory Level. This could mean that you have successfully completed the study of Italian language
• up to and including Year 12 Level (Post-VCE student) or equivalent

NilAims and objectives
This unit consolidates your competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Italian (intermediate level). This unit will also critically analyse the different aspects of the Italian language in literature, culture, art, film, music and theatre related texts.
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Translate and master the language used in texts with intermediate level Italian;
2. Critically analyse the different aspects of the Italian language in literature, culture, art, film, music and theatre related texts;
3. Orally present in Italian, demonstrating an intermediate level of language fluency;
4. Formulate and articulate an opinion in Italian on the issues discussed or the texts read in class;
5. Demonstrate an ability to think cross-culturally, ethically and in a multidisciplinary fashion.
