Aims and objectives
This unit provides students with foundation knowledge of the structure of major financial services industries (including banking, insurance and financial planning) including the types of organisations involved within the value chain, the business models represented and the regulatory environments in which they operate. It provides a high-level view of the types of technologies that are emerging and examines the resulting substantial changes to the business models of incumbent financial services organisations and disruptive new organisations.
