Prerequisites
Aims and objectives
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Use industry standard systems, methodologies and technologies relevant to communication design practice within the professional design industry.
2. Use design project management skills and apply business systems and production processes to design projects.
3. Investigate local printers, suppliers and manufacturers as appropriate to a specific project brief;
4. Prepare design projects for appropriate production outcomes.
5. Design within the limitations of specified formats and print processes and apply supplied dielines or similar print specifications.
6. Propose, design and prepare for commercial print production design solutions that exploit unique formats and make specific and creative use of formats and finishes for communication.
