Aims and objectives

This unit is the capstone unit of the International Studies major. It builds on students’ knowledge of International Studies in the context of a directed research project. 

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Conduct independent research, using primary and secondary sources in a self-directed way
2. Construct an evidence-based argument that critically evaluates conflicting viewpoints
3. Communicate key issues in international relations in a particular region
4. Effectively design and manage a research project
