Aims and objectives

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required for the design and development of software applications for mobile devices.
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this unit students will be able to:
  • Explain the syntax, capabilities and conventions of contemporary development tool kits
  • Design and build applications using a model separated architectural style
  • Use tablet device’s built-in sensors such as the accelerometer, GPS and compass in applications
  • Build applications using platform services such as contacts, maps and messaging.
