BCA20002 Circus Arts Specialisation Intermediate 1

Aims and objectives

In this unit students aim to reach the intermediate level within their specialisations. This involves the application of both physical techniques and artistic practices. They begin to solidify and creatively expand their skills within their chosen specialties and explore work in small groups of two or three. They devise conditioning and training sequences to demonstrably enhance specialisations. They further refine and alter their program while applying safe practice in the exploration and execution of intermediate specialised techniques.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Adapt their specialty skills to work in small groups.
2. Critically evaluate their specialisations in written form.
3. Devise conditioning and training sequences to demonstrably enhance specialisations.
4. Present intermediate specialty skills in a variety of modes.
