BCA20006 Circus Arts Specialisation Intermediate 2

Aims and objectives

In this unit students study their specialty acts at the advanced level, and work towards the professional presentation of their specialty acts. They further refine and creatively alter their program paying particular attention to the application of music and choreography. Students also apply advanced specialised techniques and forms in their process, as well as critically analyse circus arts.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Adapt their specialty skills to work towards a professional presentation of their acts.
2. Critically analyse the circus arts in written form.
3. Generate advanced conditioning routines to support their bodies to perform their selected specialisations.
4. Develop creative specialty skills expressed in physical forms.
