Aims and objectives

Students creatively develop and refine their specialty acts. This unit aims to simulate the industry experience of an innovative circus ensemble. Students will be working with a professional director on the development of an ensemble show for public performance, demonstrating professional behaviours, independence and collaborative skills.

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Modify and integrate their performance, choreographic and circus skills in the context of a directed, ensemble performance.
2. Work professionally and safely within the constraints provided by an experienced director.
3. Identify and solve problems that arise with the creative process.
4. Analyse creative process in writing.
5. Deliver an innovative public show synthesising dance and movement, performance and circus skills.
