On-campus unit delivery combines face-to-face and digital learning. For Online unit delivery, learning is conducted exclusively online.
Aims and objectives
This unit will enable the student to design and evaluate Crew Resource Management programs using contemporary skill measurements such as behavioural marker systems, non-technical skills (NOTECHS) elements and Line Operational Safety Audit (LOSA) data. The student will also gain an advanced understanding of Threat & Error Management (TEM) concepts as a countermeasure to Human Error.

2. Explain the Threat & Error Management Framework and its relationship with CRM
3. Apply CRM principles to domains outside of Flight Operations
4. Describe the relationship between culture, CRM and safety
5. Critically analyse industry problems from a CRM and safety perspective
6. Demonstrate through creative and informed individual written communications the application of analysis and theory to current practices and developments in CRM and Threat & error Management

Minimum requirements to pass this Unit
As the minimum requirements of assessment to pass a unit and meet all Unit Learning Outcomes to a minimum standard, a student must achieve:
(i) an aggregate mark of 50% or more, and
(ii) must complete all assignments.
Students who do not successfully achieve hurdle requirement (ii) in full, will receive a maximum of 44% as the total mark for the unit and will not be eligible for a conceded pass.
