Aims and objectives

This unit aims at developing fundamental knowledge and skills of employing building information modelling and other digital technologies for construction management in building projects

On successful completion of this unit students will be able to:

ULO2Create, interpret, and integrate 3D BIM models for building construction
ULO3Use and/ or construct nD BIM frameworks/ systems for various construction management agenda in building projects
ULO4Apply relevant BIM standards, methods, procedures and best practices for construction management of building projects
ULO5Comprehend and integrate construction management activities in collaborative BIM environment
ULO6Develop and appraise the adoption and implementation of BIM and digital technologies for the construction management in building projects
ULO7Describe, designate and demonstrate the roles and responsibilities of using digital technologies (including BIM) in building construction projects.
