Aims and objectives
The unit develops technical operating skills useful for all sectors of the Australian and international radio, audio and podcast industries and enable students to critically evaluate broadcasting practices in Australia primarily but also overseas. Finally, the unit will allow students to develop creative and entrepreneurial approaches to creating radio, audio and podcasting products.
1. Demonstrate understanding of broadcasting in various radio and podcasting formats to establish and consolidate basic broadcasting skills.
2. Present, discuss and critically evaluate broadcasting practices in Australian and international radio and podcast industries.
3. Develop vocal presentation and production skills, indicating ability to relate to an audience and operational proficiency.
4. Produce industry standard radio programs or podcasts with basic content elements
