Aims and objectives

 New unit - Semester 2 2018
 
This unit provides students with a unique opportunity to gain practical experience working on a technology based business opportunity for an actual client. Students will synthesise skills acquired in prior units as well as applying research techniques to address the complex opportunity or problem. Students will prepare and present a professional report on their findings and recommendations to their client. Where applicable, students will be expected to research appropriate technologies and sources of information to evaluate solutions in the context of solving the business problem or leveraging the business opportunity for their client.
 
Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:
1. Critically analyse technology based business opportunities or problems for an organisation
2. Synthesise prior learning including the use of research techniques to address complex technology based business opportunities or problems
3. Critically evaluate alternate solutions to complex technology based business problems or opportunities from an organisational perspective
4. Demonstrate professional behaviours through effective leadership, teamwork and communication skills with all project stakeholders
5. Reflect critically on the application of advanced technologies to solve complex business problems and realise potential opportunities
