Unit Learning Outcomes

Students who successfully complete this unit will be able to:

1. Identify key financial, economic, management and marketing drivers that influence airline management strategies
2. Demonstrate competence in planning and establishing a virtual airline using the simulation software
3. Demonstrate an ability to manipulate a range of variables such as airfares, aircraft configurations, service profiles and levels to test the application of theory in a simulated environment
4. Provide suitable management strategies in response to competitive pressures
5. Demonstrate through individual written communications appropriate data and commentary indicating a sound grasp and application of theory that reflects trading activities of the virtual airline.
