Selected major: Accounting and Financial Planning Professional Major
Swinburne’s Bachelor of Accounting is about so much more than numbers. It’s about how finances affect businesses and people’s lives.
This course aims to develop the technical skills and personal traits you will need to adapt and thrive in this rapidly evolving profession.
Today's accountants work increasingly with financial technologies, big data, data analytics and data visualisation tools. They use figures to tell both big picture and detailed financial stories through lenses like those focused on ethical practices, the environment and sustainability.
Build up your CV with real industry experience while you study through our Work Integrated Learning programs, which are a guaranteed part of all our bachelor degrees and can include placements, internships or industry-linked projects. In this degree, in the Industry Consulting Project (BUS30009), you’ll team up with other students to work on a real project briefed to you by an industry partner.
Graduates find rewarding work in industry, commerce, the public sector, the financial industry or business consulting and public accounting.
