Course description
International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.

2. Plan and implement an independent research project in advanced manufacturing technology applying research principles and methods and using technical research skills
3. Reflect on contemporary and emerging issues and trends in advanced manufacturing technology practice
4. Investigate, analyse and synthesise complex information, problems, concepts and theories from advanced manufacturing practice to provide solutions to complex problems using critical thinking and independent judgement
5. Demonstrate clear and coherent communication skills to articulate complex knowledge and justify propositions and professional decisions in advanced manufacturing to specialist and non-specialist audiences

Course fees
Students holding an international student visa are required to study full-time and on campus. Due to government regulations, industry-based learning (IBL) and work placement are not available to onshore international students unless it is a compulsory component of the program. Programs that are taught solely online are not available to onshore international students who hold an international student visa.

The entry requirements for Master of Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing Technology) / Master of Entrepreneurship and Innovation are as follows:
- a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)* (minimum four years of full time study) degree in any of the following cognate fields: Mechanical; Manufacturing; Electrical and Electronic; Robotics and/or Automation or
- a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Engineering degree following on from a four-year Bachelor of Engineering degree in any of the above cognate fields or
- a qualification deemed to be equivalent to any of the above
* Applicants with a recognised Bachelor of Engineering Honours degree in an approved cognate field may be eligible for advanced standing.
English language requirements
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
1. Swinburne’s English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with overall 70%, all skills 65%
2. Minimum IELTS overall band of 6.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0
3. TOEFL iBT (internet-based) minimum score of 79 with a reading band no less than 18 and writing band no less than 20
4. Pearson (PTE) 58 (no communicative skills less than 50)
5. Any other equivalent assessment of English language proficiency
