Infection Control Skill Set (Food Handling)
This month-long online course is for Victorian residents working in an environment where food safety and handling is required. Students of this course will learn a range of health and hygiene skills that will help in preventing the spread of COVID-19.
The Infection Control Skill Set (Food Handling) will cover hand hygiene practises, effective surface cleaning, use of protective equipment, contaminated waste disposal, hazard identification, incident response and infection and transmission knowledge, as well as appropriate protocols and responses in the event of an incident.
Graduates of this course will have a thorough, highly relevant and sought-after understanding of workplace procedures and best practises needed during the global pandemic, and will be uniquely prepared for roles in management in hospitality and food and wine.
As video submissions will make up a component of their assessments, students will need to have access to a mobile device or tablet with video recording capabilities.
