Course description
International students in Australia who hold student visas are required to study full-time and on campus. Courses that are taught entirely online are only available to international students studying outside Australia or those in Australia who are not on a student visa. Online courses are not available to international students in Australia who hold a student visa.

2. Cognitively analyse, generate and transmit solutions to key problems impacting the media in Australian and international environments in contexts that require self-directed work and learning.
3. Research, evaluate, and articulate advanced theoretical and practical concepts affecting media practice and transmit that knowledge to peers.
4. Apply high level, independent judgements in a variety of theoretical and professional practice contexts to design and implement advanced media products.
6. Demonstrate professional responsibility and accountability to others in the creation and execution of projects, both theoretical and technical, in the field of media and communications.

Prerequisites
- A recognised three year bachelor degree with a credit average or
- A recognised undergraduate degree with less than a credit average but evidence of five years or more continuous employment in a media or communications field or
- A recognised AQF Level 8 qualification in a cognate area
On successful completion of the Graduate Certificate of Arts (Media and Communications), students may be eligible to progress to the Graduate Diploma of Arts (Media and Communications) and may be given full credit for the units completed towards the Graduate Certificate of Arts (Media and Communications).
