Diploma of Accounting and Finance
This course prepares you with the skills to carry-out tasks like reporting on business performance, financial reporting and statements, maintaining internal control systems, preparing tax returns and providing management accounting information.
On completion, you can enter the workforce, go on to our bachelor degree or sit for the external Association of Chartered Certified Accountants exams and obtain further qualifications.
Because of the broad accounting concepts you will learn in this course, you will be qualified to apply for jobs in financial services and other industries which need accounting support.

Qualifications:
Successful completion of an Australian Year 11 or international equivalent OR
Completion or partial completion of an approved tertiary qualification (including Certificates IV (completed), Diplomas, Advanced Diplomas, Associate Degrees and Degrees).
Minimum entry requirements stipulated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency:
A student must meet one of the 5 options below to meet the minimum entry requirements which are in accordance with the Malaysian education system and are stipulated by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) for Diploma level courses in the Accounting discipline:
a. A pass in SPM (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 credits including Mathematics, and a pass in English; OR
b. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent, with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject, and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
c. A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul (pass) and credits in Mathematics and a pass in English at SPM level; OR
d. A pass in SKM Level 3 in a related field and a pass in SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject with credits in Mathematics and a pass in English; OR
e. Successful completion of an approved tertiary qualified Certificate award at Level 3 of the Malaysian Qualifications Framework.
English language requirements
English language requirements (Sarawak):
a. IELTS 5.5 (no individual band below 5.0) OR
TOEFL iBT: minimum score 60 (with no band less than 15) OR equivalent measures (https://www.swinburne.edu.my/find-course/entry-requirements.php#english-language) as recognised by the MQA
