The Certificate IV in Information Technology develops the foundational skills required for entry to the IT industry. Students specialise in either digital media technologies or programming.

The digital media technologies stream trains students in areas including web design, responsive web programming (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and jQuery), digital imaging, visual design, 2D animation and motion graphics. Students will also be introduced to a range of Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

The programming stream trains students in a range of programming languages (C#, Java, JavaScript and PHP) and introduces them to programming frameworks, version control tools and project collaboration tools. Students learn how to develop mobile, desktop and cloud applications.

Duration

1 year full-time on campus (commencing March) or equivalent part-time. Mid-year option is an entry level course designed to facilitate passage into the Diploma of Digital Media Technologies or the Diploma of Software Development in the following year.
