Course description
Students learn skills in the Parks and Gardens area, such as plant recognition, plant nutrition, park facility maintenance and machinery skills. The course offers the units of competency which are required to meet job outcomes at this level in the Parks and Gardens area.

Aims and objectives
Students learn to identify plants for specific areas, fertiliser requirements of plants, ongoing maintenance procedures within the parks and gardens area, and operation of mowers, tractors and hand-held equipment. Students will obtain the AgVet certificate on successful completion of the pest/weed/chemical cluster of competencies.
