Dr Ziyuan Wang
Ziyuan joined Swinburne University of Technology in 2018 as a Senior Research Fellow in Blockchain. She recently focuses on blockchain research and solutions across industries, including banking, insurance, and supply chain. Her research interests are at the intersection of distributed systems and analytics, including blockchain, stream computing, and spatio-temporal data analytics.
Before joining Swinburne, Ziyuan was a Research Scientist at IBM Research-Australia (2012-2018). Her work focused on intelligent transportation systems, natural disaster management, and blockchain solutions. She is co-author of several patents, in the areas of IoT, AI and blockchain. Ziyuan worked for CSIRO Marine and Atmospheric Research division (2010-2012), where she was involved in environmental modeling, remote sensing data management, and scientific workflows. Ziyuan got her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Melbourne. Her dissertation was on proactive traffic control strategies for sensor-enabled cars.
