Doctor M. Silva obtained his PhD from University of New South Wales (UNSW) in February 2018. He obtained his master in Analytical Chemistry and B.Ed Chemistry from University Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM - Brazil). In May 2018 he was recruited by Swinburne University of Technology (SUT) Melbourne to a postdoctoral research fellow appointment as part of ARC Discovery Projects Scheme on the development of low-fouling surfaces for bionic implants. My research goal is to develop smart surfaces for use in a variety of biomedical applications including liquid biopsy, bionic implantation, drug delivery systems, and neural cell stimulation.
